Daisy took a spill on her scooter. She has gotten quite confident lately and was going fairly quickly. Pavement vs. Palm, Pavement wins. Daisy tends to get queasy when she gets hurt, and we had a time getting her back to the house as we were several blocks from home on a walk. Hazel pushed Stella in the stroller and I half carried/half supported Daisy back home. It turned out to be a pretty nasty scrape, and she lost a thick piece of skin covering about an inch of her hand. It's been healing slowly but surely, and I think the scab will probably come off soon.
Lesson Daisy learned: wear protective gloves (as well as knee/elbow pads) when riding a scooter.
Lesson Mom learned: have a supply of band-aids along on walks which involve scooters.
Dearest Daisy, not a day should go by that you don't learn something new... seriously though, here's a kiss for your booboo and a prayer for good and speedy healing. God bless you. Love always, Grandpa
