birthday date with daddy

Starting when the girls turn five, Jason takes them out on a special date for their birthday. It has been very special for them, getting flowers and getting to go out somewhere nice all alone with Daddy. I enjoy getting them dressed up and helping Jason decide where to take them, etc. It is amazing to see the changes in these pictures over the years! Here are pictures from Hazel's five and six year old dates:

This year, Jason brought Hazel purple daisies to match their purple outfits. She looked so beautiful with her hair all done up and flowers tucked into it. She really looked so grown up to me as I was taking their pictures this year! It was sad and happy at the same time.

They got all ready to go (she got to ride in the front seat for this very special event!) and headed to Victorville, about an hour and 15 minutes away. First they went by the mall to visit a candy store, as Hazel wanted to choose some special chocolate as one of her gifts this year. She picked out some gold coins, a nice big chocolate bar, and a little foil wrapped leprochaun- all for her to eat herself!

Then they went to Chateau Chang, a fine dining restaurant with an asian flair. She was thrilled to be able to order plain noodles with alfredo sauce and a Shirley Temple to drink! Jason tried the duck and said it was delicious. I wish I could go on dates like this with him!! The waitress sang "Happy Birthday" to her and they gave her a piece of chocolate cake and ice cream. She said everyone kept telling her how pretty she was.

On the way home, Hazel ate entirely too much chocolate before falling asleep in her seat. She slept in her dress when she got home because she was too tired to change! She had a really great time with Daddy.
