Jason & I just finished watching the 4 disc set of the short lived TV series
Firefly, and the companion film
Serenity. I just wanted to share about this awesome piece of work by Joss Whedon, because we really enjoyed watching every single minute of the show and the film I am very sad now that there are no more episodes left to watch! It was just a really great show- funny, scary, heartwarming, action-packed, and smart- all rolled into one.
I do suppose I should put in a disclaimer though- this is not a kids show by any means, and has a good bit of shooting (think old Westerns meet Star Wars) and there are some pretty scary bad guys in a few of the episodes and in the film (similar to Orcs from LOTR). It's definitely not for everyone, but it was too great of a show not to mention it. :)
