I got a picture this week of my friend Louise's new baby Braeden wearing the hat I made for him- isn't he adorable? I made this hat out of some wonderfully soft Merino wool that I dyed by hand. It's hard to see in this picture but it has a little cord sticking out of the top that is tied in a half knot, thus the name "Umbilical Cord Hat" (pattern taken from my favorite knitting book, Stitch 'N Bitch by Debbie Stoller). It's so nice to see something I made in action!
Oh he must be so tiny...cause that hat was itty bitty and it looks like he's got room to grow! lol...it's so cute, good job!
