The blankets are getting very close to completion, so updates on those soon. I always have too many projects going at once though, which can be good and bad. It's good because if I get tired of one I can pick up another. It's bad because sometimes I go soooooooo long in between actually finishing anything! But here is a soaker I finished tonight, and it turned out great. It's not for me to keep though- it's for a trade (I got a *bunch* of free yarn, just had to knit a soaker out of some of it and send it back).
I did this with 2 strands of yarn held together, and overlapped the color changes so that the stripe effect would be more subtle. I really love how that turned out. I never would have done it except I did not have enough of any one color to do the whole thing, so I had to get creative! It took more time this way, but I think the new owner will be pleased. It is a partially felted soaker too, so it should be great for night time use. (For those of you who have no idea what I am talking about, this is to be used over a cloth diaper as the waterproof layer. Wool has incredible water-resistant qualities while still being very breathable, and is so much more natural and beautiful than plastic or rubber covers.)
That is absolutely GEORGEOUS! Very lucky mom who gets this cover to cheer up her day...maybe you need to be etsy.com too! Your stuff is so bright and colorful!
