close shave

My new favorite small appliance came in the mail this week. It is an Oreck Fabric Shaver. I don't know why I didn't get one of these sooner. The wonderful, beautiful, soft blanket I knitted for Lyle before he was born was starting to look downright awful- full of fuzz balls and dog hair. But this wonderful little tool has saved the day!

Looking around my closet, there are a number of things in there which could use a shave too. So I think this thing is going to be getting a workout! I am very glad I chose this model, because it comes with an AC adapter so I am not burning through batteries as I remove fuzz balls. And it had free shipping when I ordered, so you can't beat that!
