Well it's all very unofficial and non-scientific, BUT
we got the bathroom scale out today and weighed me holding Lyle, and then by myself. I won't tell you what the actual numbers were ;) but the girls did the math on the white board (Hooray for Unschooling! Math lesson for today complete!) and the difference was 14 pounds. Now, this is with clothing and diaper on, and it's not a super accurate scale or anything.
But the kid weighs somewhere around 14 pounds at 1 month of age. [switches baby to other shoulder and rubs arm to get the feeling back in it]
I've still got my sling baby scale if you want to find out for sure.
