it even looks like a sock!

It is so great when you learn a new skill and it starts taking shape before your very eyes.

















I am completely in love with the fact that you can try on a sock-in-progress when knitting it on 2 circular needles. I have been trying this one on every inch or so, just to admire the lovely yarn and snuggly fit. Pay no attention to the large-ish hole right there in the center (also known as the Gusset Corner). This is my first sock and I am comfortable with the hole. It's not a hole that will grow or get worse- just a sort of a "space" in the knitting, if you will. I'm sure I will improve upon this with practice, and I'm guessing once I have them on I'll be the only one to notice it, especially with this rainbow-y yarn.

Yeah. I'm a sock knitter now. Who knew?
