challenge met

OK. So it took me two weeks (but we did go out of town and then the whole family got sick, so really just one actual week HA) but here we go. We ended up rearranging the living/dining room area, so the sewing table is in a new location now- and free of clutter! All of the fabric is folded and stored in the wardrobe. All of the trims and elastics are put away in their drawer. The buttons are all in one container, the pins and needles are neatly in their cases, and the patterns are put away.

And the top drawer with all the essential tools is organized and everything in it's place. (I had four seam rippers- who knew?!) It is a very good feeling. As you have seen from my recent entries, I am already getting some existing sewing projects polished off and there is room on the table for new ones. (Which is just in time, because I have a very, very LARGE sewing project getting ready to start- more on that later).

P.S. Please ignore the horrendous finish on that table! This is a curbside special that will be lovingly refinished once we buy a home. In the meantime, it serves it's purpose well even though it is not pretty.
