I got these at the thrift shop a few weeks ago. They are brand new Dr. Martens- look like they have never been worn other than trying on. They are, however, a men's size 12, which nobody in this house wears.Why, you ask, did I buy them then? Because they were a quarter. Twenty-five cents. These are like, $90 shoes! I really can't believe that none of the volunteers working in the thrift shop snatched them up before they got to the shelves.
The plan: list them on ebay. I might not get around to it until after our trip next week, but when I do I will link to the auction here so you can all watch with bated breath as I (hopefully) turn a nice fat profit. I mean, I payed a quarter for them, so even if they sell for $20 I'm in great shape, right?
Now, what to spend the unexpected windfall on. Hmmmmm... ::rubs hands together::
Great find, nothing is better . We love to go to thrift shops. I was watching an old cowboy show and the Dr. on it is Doc Martin.(the one with Kitty the saloon owner) Jennifer went the other day to the Habitat and got Jonathan 2 pairs of Bass and the Little guy we have a pair of plaid rubber boots for 3.50 . We just love to see who gets the best buy. I hope you get more that 20 on ebay.
