a rainbow of chairs

All 4 kids in their Stokke chairs

Our Stokke rainbow is now complete! Our friendly neighborhood FedEx man delivered Lyle's new Tripp Trapp* chair on Saturday- an early birthday present of sorts from us. Now the big old plastic high chair can go in the yard sale next weekend, and Lyle can sit right up to the table with all of us. As I have said before, we are just thrilled with the craftsmanship of these chairs, not to mention that they just look downright cool. And of course they fit right into our #1 decorating rule of thumb: The More Color The Better.

Lyle is SO big!

*The girls all have Kinderzeats, which is just the chair that Stokke offered in the US before they started marketing the Tripp Trapp.

  1. How cool is that? Can't wait to see them in person! Lyle has changed so much since we were there in March. See you in 4 weeks! Love, Grandma

  3. I've been able to get them for less on ebay...but they really are worth it! They're out living the dinning room chairs we got with our table...wait, they outlived the 4 year old kitchen table too! LOL.

  4. Yeah they are not cheap. But think about it this way: This is his chair now (really it could replace the high chair if we had gotten it sooner) and for the rest of the time he lives here. When we buy a new dining room table, we will only need to buy 4 chairs- 2 for Jason & I and 2 to have for guests. Instead of buying 6 or 8 chairs. They adjust to their body, so they can be comfortable and properly supported at every age, all the way to adult. They are made very well and we feel they are worth the $$. I was picky this time because I wanted the orange, so we had to pass up some cheaper deals and get this one for full price though.

  7. Oh I'm so glad I saw that picture of the kids and the chairs! I've just been trying to decide what kind of chair to get Braeden. And Morrighan could use one too now that I see how cool the colors look together!
