I don't have any pictures of today. But it was delightful. I got up and fixed breakfast for everyone, took a shower and got dressed, got Lyle down for a nap and headed out the door. Then I spent the next four hours wandering around downtown Athens with my gift certificates. I looked in all sorts of shops- browsing all the things I'll never buy, trying to take note of things I might want to buy, and most of all enjoying the freedom of going at my on pace. With nobody asking me if I was almost finished. And I didn't have to tell a single person to get out from under the clothing racks or to stop making fingerprints on the glass doors. It was wonderful. I had lunch in a nice little restaurant (with cloth napkins! and a wine list!), and once I got over the weird feeling of eating by myself- I thoroughly enjoyed my grilled mahi-mahi with pomegranite glaze, skin-on mashed potatoes, steamed carrots and squash, and Crème Brûlée for dessert. OH MY. After a bit more shopping I headed home, feeling refreshed and recharged. Ahhhhhh. Thank you so much, Jason! It was perfect.

  3. Oh yummy! I'm so jealous! That sounds so much better than the local, "but it's got a great indoor playground" resturant. Glad to here things are going well.
