annie!

I took Daisy & Hazel to see the musical production of Annie this week at the Classic Center. What a blast! We love taking them to see shows whenever we get the chance, and this one was especially enjoyable because we own the movie version and know all the songs and the story really well. It was fun to compare the live musical with the movie and talk about all the differences and similarities. Hazel read about the show and lead actress in last week's Sunday paper and we've all had the songs on a continuous loop in our heads all week! The evening became even more memorable when we sat down in our seats and found we were right next to some of our wonderful new friends, so Hazel and her friend Grace got to enjoy the show together! What a great surprise (and a crazy coincidence!)

If you haven't checked out your local theater recently, we highly recommend it. While it can be a pretty pricey form of entertainment, (the best seats for this show were $65 each!!) there might be some very affordable seats available as well. We were near the top of the theater, but for $10 a piece it was well worth it, and not much more expensive than a night at the movies. (We won't discuss the completely overpriced programs and souvenirs though...)

And a quick update about my arm:
I went in to the doctor yesterday and the xrays showed that everything is still in perfect position and doing well. I go back in 10 days and will need either a new cast or possibly be able to go into a removable splint for the duration of the healing. The original cast will be too loose to be effective anymore, because it was made when my arm was swollen from the fall.

  1. I didn't know you broke your arm!
So sorry! I hope it heals quickly without being too hurty.
