There are a few pictures in the camera, but they haven't made it onto the computer just yet. And I'm tired, so I'm not going to do it now. If you are lucky, I will try to get them loaded up by lunchtime or so on Monday, but no promises.
Saturday we went over to the Sandy Creek Nature Center for their Saturday Story Time, and heard a great story about Sea Turtles. We also got to visit with the turtle who lives there, watching her walk all around the room and getting to per her shell.
After that we headed downtown to check out the International Street Festival. It was a beautiful day and we saw some very interesting things, heard some great music, and ate at the Taco Stand. The girls got flags painted on their faces and got free balloons and snow cones. You can't beat that!
Sunday we got a LOT done around the house- I got *almost* caught up on laundry (being completely caught up never really happens, but I got really close), cleaned and organized the laundry area of the basement, filled 2 leaf bags with leaves and weeds, sewed a patch on Hazel's jean jacket, repaired a split seam on Stella's sock monkey, changed the full vacuum bag, vacuumed the bedroom, and helped with the trampoline. Jason was busy with that thing most of the day- we have a very not-flat yard so he had to dig trenches for the legs to sit in so it would be level. We still need to get the net up but it is closer to being all set.
Somehow my list of things I accomplished doesn't seem like as much as it felt like. Hmmm. I guess if you add in several diaper changes, the cooking of 2 meals plus preparation of numerous snacks, nursing and putting Lyle down for his nap, then it does make for a pretty full day. Whew! Off to bed.
Looks like you had a pretty full week-end! We are getting anxious to visit :) Love you, Mom
