let it snow!
Our yearly snow storm arrived a bit earlier than last year, and thankfully it was not as destructive. It started coming down Friday afternoon in big, fat flakes, and didn't stop falling until late that night. In all we got about 4 inches of snow in our yard, although I'm not sure what the official measurement was.
We had a blast and took many, many, MANY photos, which are on my Flickr and I might do another post with cool snow shots in a day or two as well. The snow filled our weekend with lots of fun and play and exhaustion, and we're a little sad to see it go with the 40 and 50 degree temps we had Sunday. I'm not really sad to be done with the ginormous production of helping everyone into and out of their gear several times every day, and getting all of the gear dry in between times. But the snow was such a huge part of my childhood growing up in Minnesota, I am so glad when these guys get an opportunity to experience it as well.

What fun it is to be a kid when it snows! We had 10" of the biggest snowflakes I have ever seen, here in Little Elm, TX on Thursday. It's all gone now though but still very cold.
ReplyDeleteLove you, Aunt Karen
Looks like everyone had a great time with the snow! The snowbanks in our yard ar up to the top of our mailbox this year - more like the snowy winters we had when you were growing up than the last several we have had - I am ready for spring, though ;-)
ReplyDeleteYea! You guys got snow too! And it is so pretty. Hope it left all of your trees and branches in tact this time. Wish we were close enough to have gotten to play in it with ya'll, looks like we all had a blast! Love you guys!
