dyeing and hunting

eggs

6 kids + 3 dozen eggs + 10 mugs of water, vinegar and food coloring = a whole lot of fun and some of the coolest eggs ever made. Seriously. I couldn't stop taking pictures of them, they were so cool. Each one was like a tiny amazing work of art- with so much depth of color and texture. The secret to these spectacular speckled creations? It's a combination of 2 parents who haven't dyed eggs in several years, 1 who forgot the egg dyeing kit at home, and some Wilton's Icing Colors that just would not dissolve all the way. Throw in a little last minute cooking of the eggs at 8 pm and you've got the makings for some serious Late Night Arts and Crafts/Science Experiment Egg Dyeing. This is Extreme Homeschooling, folks. We wrapped Home-Ec, Science, Art, and Math into one fun-filled event. And the results were truly breathtaking.

  12. A little late, but I just had to get in on this record setting comments session. You guys are somethin' else, and I want to see how it's done when we get down there in June. Kids up here were puttin' on their snowsuits and searching the snowbanks for eggs this year............and to think some years it's 80 degrees on Easter! God bless y'all... Love, Grandpa
