party time!

Stella waited so patiently all day long so she could open presents and "blow off" her candles :)
After dinner we decided to open presents first so that we would have room in our full tummies to eat cake later.

Stella was so excited! She got some really great things and seemed to like them all very much. The girls both spent about $5 of their own money to buy her a gift, which I thought was very sweet. They did a wonderful job picking out their gifts too- Hazel gave her a new backpack so that she will be able to carry her own stuff when we go on car trips and camping, etc. It came with a small detachable bag, which we thought would make a great travel coloring kit- so we got her a paper tablet to go inside and I made a nice little roll to keep some colored pencils in. We have a very strict NO CRAYON rule in our van (I'm sure you do not need to ask why...) so this will be perfect for the car.
Daisy got her a Care Bears coloring book, a small notebook, and a big bottle of bubbles. She likes to draw and color very much, and of course everyone loves playing with bubbles :)

I also got a bunch of sewing done this week to finish off her presents. I made her 3 more diapers for her dolls and stuffed animals- she had one already and has been playing with it a lot since we've been talking about the baby coming and getting our diapers and baby clothes out to wash. Now all her favorite dolls can wear a diaper at the same time! I also got her hooded towel all personalized, which was a long time coming. I gave her the thing last year for her birthday, thinking I'd get the name put on when I had some time (yeah, right). But after finishing up another towel last week for our nephew Kaden, I was so happy with how it turned out that I had to get Stella's out and fix it up too. I'm so glad I did- it looks 100% better!

The cake was wonderful- very pink, which pleased Stella very much! Homemade vanilla ice cream too- YUM.
Stella wanted nothing to do with the ice cream though, and proceeded to eat 2 small pieces of cake without hardly breathing in between. She came back for a few bites of what her sisters left in their bowls a little later too. I think it's safe to say she liked the cake!
She wasn't real sure about Jason lighting the candles though- I think fire is a little scary to her up close.
