it came!!

The mailbox held exciting news yesterday- the kids' magazines arrived with Hazel's story inside! We are just so proud of her. She decided to write this on her own, after seeing the call for entries, and did not ask for any help other than with spelling on a few words. I did not even see the story until she was already finished.

Seeing this is really motivating them both to do more writing- they are both looking in their magazines to see what else they could enter. Being published in a real live magazine is such a thrill! Congratulations, Hazel!!
