Well, today I am doing that traditional, time honored nesting. I'm (gasp) cleaning. It must be nearly time, eh?
I got out my trusty Kirby and together we have cleaned: the ceiling fan in the master bedroom, the top edge of the walls in all the upstairs rooms (what is that called anyway?), the baseboards and carpet in the upstairs rooms and hall, and the stairway. The laundry room is swept out and tidied up, ready for anyone who happens to want to help me with laundry while they are visiting (hint, hint), and the downstairs carpet is vacuumed. I had the girls clean and organize the front hall closet and swept that out as well.
The laundry is caught up, and I even took the covers off the baby's carseat and Stella's, and ran them through thte wash. Stella's straps needed to be adjusted to a taller height anyway, so I figured we would get it clean, adjusted, and moved to it's new position to make room for the baby seat all in one effort.
The toilets are clean, the bathroom counters cleared off and wiped down, and I am fighting harder than usual to keep the kitchen counter clear as well, so that anyone who wants to cook anything in my kitchen while they are here will have an easy go of it (more hinting).
So. That is about all the nesting I have in me. Now if we can just maintain for a few more days or however long it takes, so I don't have to do it all over again before the birth. Now I am going to knit and sit around waiting. If it cools down any I might go for a walk or two. And then wait some more.
That is some serious nesting...it's a great blustery night out too...and those pink clouds are surreal! Have a restful evening.
