Jason is a wonderful husband and father. He has taken such great care of all of us over the past few weeks- I appreciate him so much! I would not be the parent I am without his help and support. He is an amazing father and my best friend in the world. We've been married 12 1/2 years and it just keeps getting better and better!
OK enough mushy stuff- here are some pictures-
Cooking dinner for all of us the evening before Lyle was born. He found the recipe himself online, and did the grocery planning and all the shopping for this and several other meals the week Lyle was born. The food was fabulous and I was completely impressed.
Setting up the birthing pool. He also handled all the clean-up (no pictures of that though HA) in addition to being a wonderfully supportive childbirth coach AND handling the video camera/tripod situation AND dealing with the other kids and helping them be involved during the birth. This is THE guy to have around when giving birth- no question!
Some Father-Son bonding time. They are no doubt checking out the Dallas Mavericks website or some other very important guy stuff. Lyle looks like he's really into it.
I took a nap one day and awoke to find Jason slinging Lyle, with no instructions needed! OK so he had the sling on backwards, but it was secure and I gave him an "A" for effort- doing it without being asked/told to! And without help. Very very good. Oh- the glasses are because of his eye surgery- I'll post about that seperately.
Not only does he do dishes (all the time, people- not just when I've had a baby. Am I lucky or what?!) but he does them while wearing the baby so I can cook dinner. Lyle was happy as a clam in the wrap with Daddy. Oh yeah, and those flowers in the background were from Jason too- thanking me for Lyle :) What a guy.
Jason is thrilled to be a Daddy again. He is just as in love with Lyle as I am, and I am so happy to have him as my partner in this adventure.
I love you, Jason!!!
Jennifer,I could just cry. Many wives forget to thank their husbands. You have done the Man good. During all the newness of the baby and everything , you told the world all about him . Men sometimes feel left out. I am sure he dosen't.Jason could start a group, Men love your wives. It's not just you know. It's everything. Especially when its from the heart. God bless you.Love Karen B. Georgia
