The past few weeks though, he has thrown in a twist. We never know what finger(s) he is going to be sucking on, but we can be sure there will be some of them in there most of the time!
It seems to be the right hand most often, and he seems to be settling on the middle and ring fingers together. We think it is just another genius way of telling us how much he loves us already.
There is also the formation with the first 2 fingers,
and sometimes the first 3 fingers.
And when you try to take his picture too many times, he just spits them all out and says "What the heck?!"
He still sucks on just the thumb too, but that is usually when he is asleep on his tummy. Will he ever settle on one? Or will he be a versatile sucker- happy with whichever finger he can get in his mouth? Stay tuned...
What a cutie! As it so happens, my husband Nate used to suck on his ring finger and middle finger, just like Lyle in the first few photos. Nate didn't such on his thumb or any other fingers, though. Just those two.
