apartment, new and improved!
It's been a while since MawMaw and PawPaw moved in with us now, and they seem to be all settled in. The place looks so different down there! Very home-y. I finally got down there last weekend to take a few pictures- it feels kind of weird that a whole little household exists inside of our own. I don't think about it much now that we are used to them being here but when I look at the photos it's just a strange feeling, after living in such a small place before this house, and now we have room for a whole apartment in addition to our own space.
Anyway, here are the pictures from before they moved in, if you want to compare.
Living Room:
Kitchen & Dining Room:
Bedroom:
Bathroom:
View out the back door- and newly straightened patio! (before shot here) Next we need to get some nice chairs to sit outside, and some plants to spruce things up a bit.
I almost forgot- our own mini-laundromat! The stackable set was in an upstairs bedroom when we bought the house, so we moved it down and got additional hookups installed. Now MawMaw and I each have our own machines and we don't need to try and coordinate washing routines. I think this makes a big difference in our ability to co-exist comfortably. We have plans to move some old cabinets down here from the sunroom, in order to have folding counter space and some storage, and also put up some sort of bar for hanging clothes. And better lighting too- there is only one small window and it is pretty dreary down there.
Have a great weekend everyone!
