bowling party
Friday evening we met a few of Hazel's friends at the bowling alley for her birthday celebration. We ate pizza in the party room and then headed out to the lanes for some cosmic bowling.
I had to leave almost as soon as the actual bowling got started because Stella got hurt (she is fine now) so I didn't get much in the way of photos. But the kids had a blast!
Afterwards we went back to the house for some cake and ice cream, followed by a very late night with very little sleep (also known as a "sleep"over!)
Hazel had a great time and was so glad she chose bowling for her party. Thank you to her wonderful guests for making her birthday one to remember!
Oh- I almost forgot about the details about the cake: I got the instructions at FamilyFun.com, but we had to get creative for the candles because we couldn't find the bowling pin ones locally. We colored masking tape with a red permanent marker and cut it into strips to put on the plain white candles for our pins. They worked out pretty great! Hazel loved the cake and it tasted great- success!
