Jason took Daisy to go see The Avett Brothers play in Los Angeles this weekend. I was completely jealous but a 3 hour drive (one way) plus a 4 hour show is just one of those things I have to pass up as a full-time nursing mom. So Daisy got to go instead, and they had a blast.
The show was at the
El Rey Theatre, and featured
Langhorne Slim opening for
The Avett Brothers, who are being played almost constantly around here these days and enjoyed by
every one of us. Daisy and Jason both had lots to tell about, and even got a few pictures and videos with Daisy's camera (which they were sure to bring since the likes of
Sally were strictly prohibited in the theatre).
They purchased some t-shirts (an essential part of the rock concert experience, in my opinion) and even went back in after things died down to see if they could meet the band. Daisy got to have her picture taken with Scott Avett (the one who plays the banjo) and Bob Crawford (Bass), which pretty much puts the icing on the cake after a good concert, doesn't it?
