Jason's consultation at the eye clinic went well on Friday, and he was told that he could go ahead and schedule the surgery. He was given papers to look over and has to decide between LASIK and PRK, which are both laser surgeries but there are some differences to considet. Depending on his choice and the scheduling, he will have the surgery sometime in August or possibly the beginning of September.

And if there was any doubt in our minds about whether or not he should have the surgery done, there is no more. We were given a sign, first thing Saturday morning. The ocean claimed Jason's glasses and took them away forever with one swipe of a salty wave! He came walking back to the campsite after swimming with the girls, and I was surprised to see his bare face as the girls excitedly told me what had happened. It sure is a good thing he had his trusty Army Issue glasses along on the trip! And now we do not have to replace the lost glasses, as he will not be needing them at all soon. It was meant to be!
