sneak peek

I wanted to get the dolly quilt completely finished before I started the other, just to make sure there were no problems needing to be worked out (and I wanted to wash it too just in case of bleeding- knock on wood), but I need to get to Victorville to pick up some red hand-quilting thread first (since I failed to think of that when I purchased the fabric and other supplies- doh!) So, I have begun piecing the blocks for the larger quilt in the name of not wasting time. We want London to have her quilt before she is too big to use it, don't we? In the meantime, here are a few teaser shots of the doll quilt. I quite like how it is turning out, and I think this style of quilting is right up my alley. No repeating the same block over and over and over again! No straining to match every seam up perfectly! No measuring! (well, not much anyway) Just fun and getting to be creative and make each and every block a little different from the last one. I am in love.
