I'm posting late today because of our "Computer Off Wednesday" policy- more on that soon :) but I wanted to mention a couple of things really quick.
The Eclipse: Did anyone manage to get up for it? We did, and we were so glad for it. Even though we were literally sleep walking by the time we crawled back into bed, and even though we did NOT get any pictures worth sharing (photographing the moon is no joke! There is a lot to know and our equipment is just not right for it.), we still got to see something really cool that doesn't happen very often. You can see some images from this eclipse here and here. We actually got up to see the beginning (where you see the dark shadow on the white moon) and stayed up through the red phase (watch out for all these super technical terms I am throwing around today!) but headed back to bed as the bright edge was appearing back on the moon. It was still dark and we had a chance for a little more sleep, so decided to go back in the house. Maybe next time we'll do the whole thing, but 3 1/2 hours in the middle of the night is really difficult to do!
The Yardsale: We are doing one this weekend, so we've got a lot to finish up between now and then. Most of the stuff is out in the garage, but I need to go through it all and put prices on things and organize. And then we move on to the packing phase! That ticker over there is moving quick, and moving day will be here before we know it.
Stella is demanding some time on the computer now, so that's all for now. See you tomorrow!
We got up long enough to see the full eclipse...but just too tired to watch the whole thing, and then I didn't have the heart to wake all the kids...I'm not sure they would have noticed at that point anyhow, or would have risen to view it.
