smock
I finished this smock for Stella today and it turned out so cute I had to share. This is the prototype for a project a friend asked me to do for her- she had one already that was in tatters and wanted me to copy it and make her girls some new ones for the holidays.
So I took the old one apart and remade it with new fabrics. Now that I have the measurements and instructions down, the new ones for my friend will be quick and easy! And Stella got a great smock out of the deal too. It is really great- with no ties and large arm holes- easy for her to put on by herself.
Now she can help me in the kitchen and stay clean when she wipes her hands on her front and legs. Let the baking begin!

ReplyDeleteOMG IT'S SO CUTE!!!!!! I WANT ONE!!! PLZ MAKE ME ONE!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! I love the colors! Well done!
ReplyDeleteJamie- I can't post a tutorial, because I copied the thing stitch for stitch from the original, which is available for purchase online at kitchenwears.com. I don't see anything on their page about the pattern being exclusive or anything, but it was very well made and I copied it right down to the smallest detail. So ethically, I don't want to mess with their business. I might email them and see how they feel about it though. It was very easy to make!
ReplyDeletevery cute and what a girl!
ReplyDeleteStella loves posing for the camera, doesn't she? Cute smock!
ReplyDeleteCan't be disappointed when ethics are involved!
ReplyDeleteOh, my! That is just about perfection in a smock if there ever was such a thing.. I'm going to have to attempt one of those myself :)
