kanteen kozy

I knitted this "kozy" for Stella's Klean Kanteen yesterday, and got it felted today. She had looked through the yarn and said she wanted "rainbow stripes!" (some of the leftover yarn from Lyle's blanket). It turned out to be the perfect size! She loves it, and now her fingers don't get cold when she has ice water in that stainless steel bottle!

Next up: Hazel's kozy in bright red, with pink and purple stripes.

  1. That looks so good. Now I want one.
How did you do the rainbow stripes so perfectly? Oh and the hand in the blue desert sky? Perfect show blog object picture! Okay. So I wonder what the pre-felted cozy looked like. How much bigger was it? Am I bugging you yet with all these questions? "Cause I have another one. Did you get your new camera? Huh? Did you?

  2. LOL Robin you are funny :)
First things first- NO I did not get my new camera yet- but the tax return should get deposited in the next few days so will be VERY SOON (HOORAY!)

That would have been good to include a picture of the pre-felted kozy, wouldn't it? I was too anxious to felt it and forgot. I'll do that with the next one (on the needles now) But it was about 1/3 again larger. It came up to the black top part of the bottle. Of course, different wools felt differently, so it's hit and miss unless you've tested it. The stripes are just 7 rounds of each color- easy peasy.

Got any more? I can handle it- bring 'em on!!
